We are seeking a dedicated, and knowledgeable, NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) licensed Interim Qualifying Individual-of-Record, FLORIDA,  to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep expertise in finance and residential, and commercial, mortgage-financing loan origination.

This individual demonstrates strong regulatory knowledge, a commitment to compliance excellence, and the organizational skills necessary to navigate complex financial transactions with precision and efficiency.

In addition to guiding clients through every stage of the residential mortgage-financing process, the candidate will mentor team members, foster a culture of professional growth, and model best practices in ethical standards and regulatory adherence.

The following Responsibilities, and Qualifications, include, but not limited to, the following:

Interim Qualifying Individual-of-Record Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage-financing department, ensuring adherence to federal (CFPB, FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC), and state regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, and procedures, that align with corporate compliance standards and evolving legal regulations.

  • Ensure mortgage-financing loan origination, processing, underwriting, and closing activities remain compliant with RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, and other lending laws.

  • Monitor changes in legislation, and regulatory, guidance; communicate updates and integrate compliance requirements into departmental practices.

  • Collaborate with compliance officers, auditors, and external regulators during reviews and examinations.

  • Conduct internal audits, and quality control reviews, to identify potential risks, or compliance gaps, recommending corrective actions.

  • Provide training, and mentorship, to junior mortgage-financing loan originators, and personnel, on compliance standards, ethical lending practices, and corporate policies.

  • Manage relationships with investors, agencies, and state regulators to ensure operational alignment and compliance readiness.

  • Maintain oversight of fair lending practices, consumer disclosures, and data integrity in all mortgage transactions.

  • Develop compliance reporting, and metrics, for executive leadership to ensure transparency and accountability.

Interim Qualifying Individual-of-Record Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of federal, and state, mortgage regulations, including CFPB, HUD, FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac requirements.

  • Proven leadership skills in managing mortgage operations with a compliance-first approach.

  • Strong background in risk management, corporate governance, and internal controls.

  • Ability to interpret, and apply, complex legal requirements to practical business processes.

  • Experience leading compliance audits, and examinations, with successful outcomes.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and mentorship skills.

Residential / Commercial Mortgage-Financing Loan Originator Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, and analyze, customers/clients financial information to determine loan eligibility.
 
  • Guide customers/clients through the loan origination process, providing clear explanations of terms and conditions.
 
  • Collaborate with account executives and underwriters to facilitate timely approval of loans.
 
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions with customers/clients to ensure mutual satisfaction.
 
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and customers/client communications.
 
  • Provide exceptional service by addressing customer/client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
 
  • Adhere to any, and all, federal, and state, mortgage-financing, laws, rules, and compliance.
 
  • Adhere to our Code-of-Ethics.
 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA guidelines to ensure compliance.
 
  • Work collaboratively with teams to drive business growth.
 
  • Build, and cultivate, a peer-to-peer, and peer-to-business, Book-of-Business with industry professionals such as real estate associates, real estate companies, developers, attorneys, title companies, etc.


Residential Mortgage-Financing Loan Originator
 Qualifications

  • Proven, bona fide, and verifiable experience in residential mortgage-financing loan origination, or related financial-related, roles.
 
  • Strong understanding of residential underwriting processes and escrow procedures.
 
  • Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations related to loans.
 
  • Proficient in loan origination software software, and other relevant technology tools.
 
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
 
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with customers/clients.
 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
 
  • Knowledge of residential mortgage backed securities, and FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA, guidelines are preferred but, not required.
